Building our community through story
The Adult Learning Centre is pleased to announce the completion of our new project, "History and Stories of the Comox Valley". We would like to thank New Horizons for Seniors for their generous funding of this initiative.
This project captured the stories of individuals who lived in the Comox Valley prior to 1960. Students and seniors interviewed elder community members and preserved this vital part of our community in digital format. In addtion, we created mobile storyboards based on some of these narratives, which are displayed at the Comox Archives and Museum. Partnership and collaboration was a keystone for this project.
