Math, Reading,Writing and Computer Skills
The Adult Learning Centre can assist adults learn and improve their basic math, reading, writing, computer, and workplace essential skills.
• Learners are matched with trained tutors for one-to-one tutoring.
• Instruction is based on the individual’s needs, interests and goals.
Math: Individualized and personalized tutoring for any level, from beginner to advanced. Make friends with math.
Reading: We assist a wide range of readers with varying level of reading skills.
Reading to support interests: the newspaper, technical manuals for the workplace or to enjoy a really good book.
Writing: We help to develop writing skills, such as generating ideas, organization, and understanding a variety of writing styles. This may include business, academic, or personal writing. We also help the learner to proofread and edit their own work.
Computer: We offer one to one and small group tutoring for basic computer skills.
